Welcome to Colwyn Bay Cricket Club website. The club was founded in 1923 and started playing at its Penrhyn Avenue ground in Rhos-on-Sea in 1924.
THIS YEAR WE CELEBRATE OUR 90TH BIRTHDAY!
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams play in their respective ECB Premier and First Divisions of the Liverpool and District Cricket Competition. Colwyn Bay Cricket Club was assessed as the best ground in the Competition for the 7th successive year in 2012. Our most junior sides play local teams in under 9 and under 10 age groups and our under 11, under 13 and under 15 teams play in the Eryri Leagues.
The club annually hosts County Cricket and in 2013 welcomed both Glamorgan CCC and Lancashire CCC to play in the LV= County Championship in early May. Against the run of play throughout the match, Lancashire snatched victory when Glamorgan capitulated after tea on Day 3. They lost eight wickets for less than 50 runs despite chasiing a modest target with a day to spare. However, against the Yorkshire Vikings in the Yorkshire Bank 40 on the following Sunday, Glamorgan Dragons secured victory in their first outing of the season in that competition.
