Welcome to Colwyn Bay Cricket Club's website. The club was founded in 1923 and started playing at the Penrhyn Avenue ground in Rhos-on-Sea in 1924.

The 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams play in their respective ECB Premier and First Divisions of the Liverpool & District Cricket Competition. Colwyn Bay Cricket Club was assessed as the best ground in the Competition for the 4th successive year in 2009. Our most junior sides play local teams in under 9 and under 10 age groups and our under 11, under 13 and under 15 teams play in the Eryri leagues.

The club regularly hosts County Cricket and Glamorgan returned in 2009 to play against Leicestershire CCC in a four day LV county match, ending in a fine win for Glamorgan. Glamorgan Dragons also had a memorable game against Northants Steelbacks in the Pro40 League, losing an exciting game by just 8 runs.  In 2010 the Dragons will play Lancashire Lightning in the Clydesdale Bank40 and Worcestershire in the LV= County Championship. The limited overs competition will take place on Sunday 8th of August and the four-day match versus Worcester will start on the following day.  In addition, as a conspicuous honour, Colwyn Bay Cricket club will be host to another Clydesdale Bank 40 match on August Bank Holiday Monday  - the 30th - between the Unicorns- the ECB Recreational XI  - and Lancashire Lightning.  That might represent two opportunities to see Andrew Flintoff on our ground in the space of a month!
