About

The club was founded in 1923 and started playing at its Penrhyn Avenue ground in Rhos-on-Sea in 1924.

The 1st and 2nd  teams play in their respective ECB First Divisions of the Liverpool and District Cricket Competition. Colwyn Bay Cricket Club was assessed as the best ground in the Competition for the 13th  successive year in 2018. Our ladies and girls teams play both in North Wales and in the L&DCC. Our 3rd team and junior sides play local teams. We have under 9s, under 10s, under 11s, under 13s and under 15s all playing in the Cricket Wales North Wales Leagues. We also run an “Allstars” group and a “Dynamos” group from 5 years, and 8 years respectively.

The club annually hosts County Cricket and welcome Glamorgan CCC. Tickets are available at the gate each day and plenty of seating is available. Advance tickets at half price for members of Colwyn Bay Cricket Club will be available from Glamorgan CCC on https://tickets.glamorgancricket.com/Online/

Colwyn Bay Cricket Club gained ECB Clubmark accreditation and was presented with the Certificate by Paul Russell, chairman of Glamorgan CCC on Friday 10th August 2007.

Mixed Ability Cricket Section

Colwyn Bay Cricket Club have a thriving Mixed Ability Cricket Section (MACS) that offers pan disability cricket for players and potential players of all ages and gender irrespective of disability. The MACS are an integral part of the club and as a result the club was awarded the Insport Ribbon in 2015, an award that recognises the quality of provision for disabled sportsmen and women.
